Enterprise Architecture Scope

Enterprise architecture's scope is at strategy and planning level. It enables business operations and functions by providing structures and methods to achieve capabilities required to achieve business goals.

EA has historically been tied to technology due to having roots in systems thinking and the dominant computing impact and re-engineering efforts of the 1980's. As a result, some frameworks and definitions are more or less also technology centric.

Our view of EA's role is one that holistically guides the entire business without over-focusing on technology.
